Subject Matter Expert, Level I

We are currently seeking a Research Scientist-Subject Matter Expert. This position located at the J7, Joint Staff Complex, Suffolk, VA.
Candidate will provide a high level subject matter expertise for Modeling and Simulation utilizing Joint Conflict and Tactical Simulation (JCATS) and/or Joint Theater Level Simulation (JTLS). Provides advanced technical knowledge and analysis of highly specialized applications and operational environment, high-level functional systems analysis, design, integration, documentation, training, and implementation advice on complex problems which require doctorate level knowledge of the subject matter for effective implementation. Applies principles, methods, and knowledge of specific functional areas of expertise to specific task order requirements. Provides advice on esoteric problems which require extensive knowledge of the subject matter.
THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS MUST BE MET TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION:
- Bachelor’s degree with 8 or more years’ experience
- Must have 3 or more years demonstrated knowledge of military doctrine, tactics and command relationships or joint/combined command level experience.
- Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance or TS with eligibility for TS/SCI.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
THE FOLLOWING IS DESIRED, BUT NOT REQUIRED TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION:
- Attended intermediate or higher-level Service School (i.e. Command and Staff)
- Technical writing experience
- Master’s degree in a technically related field
- Able to interface, work well and communicate with multiple team mates on several projects simultaneously.
