Software Engineer, Level III

We are currently seeking a Software Engineer. This position located at the J7, Joint Staff Complex, Suffolk, VA.
Candidate will support a variety of systematic, disciplined, and quantifiable approaches to the development, operation, and maintenance of software, encompassing techniques and procedures often regulated by a software development process with the purpose of improving the reliability and maintainability of software systems. Establishes software information and engineering requirements which is necessitated by the potential complexity of those software systems, which may contain millions of lines of code. Applies the discipline of software engineering for specific technical problems and procedures, including knowledge, tools, and methods for software requirements, software design, software construction, software testing, and software maintenance tasks.
THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS MUST BE MET TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION:
- Bachelor’s degree with 10 or more years’ experience
- Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret clearance.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
THE FOLLOWING IS DESIRED, BUT NOT REQUIRED TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION:
- Technical writing experience
- Master’s degree in a technically related field
- DODI 8570.01-M (IAM I and IAT II) Certified
- Able to interface, work well and communicate with multiple team mates on several projects simultaneously.
