Battelle’s Environment (ENV) Business Line is seeking qualified applicants for a Senior Technician position to be based in or near Twenty-Nine Palms, California.
The Senior Technician will provide support for training activities associated with the utilization of K-Spans at Camp Wilson, the expeditionary area at the Marine Air Ground Task Force Training Command (MAGTFTC)/Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center (MCAGCC) Twenty-Nine Palms, California. Technical support will include conducting required maintenance, service, and emergency repairs of the equipment used to fabricate, assemble, and handle materials associated with K-Span structures; and providing oversight and inventory control for training equipment/materials to ensure their availability and functionality, as needed for training exercises.
The Senior Technician will be required to conduct assigned tasks under the supervision of MAGTFTC/MCAGCC personnel, as well as keep his or her supervisor regularly informed regarding the status of the work.
THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS MUST BE MET TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION:
The Senior Technician is required to meet the following criteria:
- High School Diploma or higher.
- Position requires at least 5 years of experience supporting activities at MCAGCC (preferably Camp Wilson).
- The candidate must demonstrate proven performance operating with high levels of responsibility under minimal supervision.
- The candidate must have a strong mechanical/construction aptitude, and be capable of performing a wide variety of maintenance and mechanical/construction tasks.
- The candidate must possess sound writing skills, and provide weekly/monthly written updates related to project accomplishments.
- The candidate must have all applicable OSHA training certifications (e.g., 30-hr construction safety training).
